Greg Volker is a Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter, guitarist. Born in Stuttgart, Germany and grew up in St. Louis Park, Mn.

Volker made a name for himself musically while living in the San Francisco Bay Area where he attended graduate school in sculpture at The San Francisco Art Institute. He has recorded albums with bands Deer Crossing, Dirt Road, and Gunpowder and his current band, The River, plays locally and has toured all around the USA in the last 3 years. Volkers’ music is influenced by his love and admiration of artists like Gillian Welsh, The Jayhawks and all the Minneapolis bands that inspired him in the 80’s, Steve Earle, Son Volt, Brian Eno, and of course, Neil Young.
